A: Regina Dominican was founded in 1958 by the Adrian Dominican sisters. For over fifty years, Regina Dominican has educated and reinforced leadership and confidence in 9,000 plus women. As a result, alumnae can be found throughout the world working as CEO's, judges, attorneys, nurses, doctors and teachers.

Q: How many athletic teams does Regina Dominican have?
A: Regina Dominican proudly supports one of the largest all-girls' athletic programs in the state with 13 athletic offerings across varying levels. Regina Dominican offers Cheerleading, Cross Country, Golf, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Bowling, Bass Fishing, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball and Track & Field.

Q: As a parent, how can I get involved?
A: Parent involvement is essential in a young woman's high school experience. That is why Regina Dominican hosts events such as the Daddy Daughter Tailgate and offers parents volunteer opportunities through the Mother's Club. Other events include the annual President's Brunch, Booster Club Golf Outing and Reginaval.

Q: Is it hard to make new friends?
A: Regina invites incoming frosh to an array of events prior to their first year: Dessert Night, Pizza Party/Scavenger Hunt and the Family Picnic in the fall. We also encourage any incoming student to participate in one of our many sports camps and workshops offered in the summer.

Q: Do I have input in my class scheduling?
A: When you have decided to come to Regina and have finished the placement exam we have an interview night. You meet with one of our many counselors and academic advisors and go over suggested class schedules.

A: All letters of acceptance are mailed on February 15.

Q: When can I tour Regina Dominican?

Q: What is on Regina Dominican's entrance exam?
A: Regina uses the Terra Nova Test at the 9th grade level. Applicants are tested in the following subjects: reading, language arts and mathematics (a calculator may be used in certain areas of the exam).

Q: How does a student transfer to Regina Dominican?
A: If a student wishes to transfer into Regina Dominican mid-year or over the summer the following steps need to be taken:
* Recommendations from current teachers and counselors
* Release of student's test scores and report cards sent to our registrar
* School and grade level the student is currently attending
* Name, address, city and state information as well as phone numbers

Q: Do I always have to wear a uniform?
A: No. We have several days through out the year that are designated for casual wear and dress days for liturgy.

Q: Will I get a chance to socialize with boys?
A: We have many social events through out the year that definitely include boys. You will find Regina Girls at football games in the fall and with boys on the weekends. Also, Regina Dominican hosts Fall Fling, Winter Dance, and Prom. Our events calendar includes Variety Show, Athletic events, concerts, plays and dance performances.

Q: Are there "variables" in class levels?
A: Regina offers 13 Advanced Placement courses in coordination with the National College Board Advanced Placement Program. Regina's AP courses are listed in our curriculum guide for the coming year and range from English, Foreign Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History and Political Science.
