Opportunity

Spanish Department trip to Spain

Purpose

Experience first hand the culture of Spain and to use linguistic skills

Places typically included are Madrid, Seville, Granada the the Alhambra, Córdoba and the Alcazar Palace, Bull Fights, Flamenco Dancing and the Costa Del Sol.

MEXICO

Opportunity

One month trip to Cuernavaca, Mexico

Purpose

Intensive, immersion style study of Spanish and Mexican Culture

Trip Dates

Generally late June, through late July (one month)

General Information

Students attend classes six hours a day in very small classes (4-5 students) and live with Mexican families. Program also includes weekend excursions to places such as the pyramids of Teotihuacan, and the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Students may be granted credit from Regina for attending a full month.

FINE ARTS TRIP TO GERMANY & PRAGUE

Opportunity

Music Department European Tour

Purpose

Exposure to composers’ birth and work places to gain knowledge of their culture and influences on their writing. Opportunity to perform in the churches and cathedrals where the music was first performed.

Events and Activities

We will visit Beethoven’s brthplace, Bach’s birthplace and several of his post’s along with sites about such composers as Handel, Mendelssohn, Liszt, Bruckner, Schumann, Brahms, and in Prague, Dvorak, and Smetena just to name a few.
