The Panther Cross Country program is one of the most successful athletic programs at Regina. The Panthers have won 4 IHSA Regional titles in their history, including back-to-back championships in 2008 and 2009. The Panthers have advanced to the IHSA State meet twice as a team as well (1993, 2008). In 1984, the Panthers took home their only team title in the GCAC. Individually, Regina has produced a great number of young women who have had success at the high school level and beyond. The Panthers have qualified individuals for the IHSA State Championship in 1992, 1995, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2009. The team is competitive but also adheres to a no-cut policy if the young woman is willing to abide by team rules. The team is also one that excels in the classroom as evidenced by their back-to-back IHSA Team Academic Achievement Awards earned during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. The team earned 3.58 and 3.62 cumulative GPA’s on a 4.0 converted scale during their 2009 and 2010 fall seasons.
