When I started school I wasn't really sure where I fit in. Going to Regina has not only allowed me to realize my true strengths, but it's a place where I've made some life long friendships.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When can I tour Regina?
A. An 8th grade student can Shadow at Regina in the fall on dates selected by your current school. Reserve your day with Pattie Fuentes, Admissions Director by phone or email (pfuentes@rdhs.org) .

Q. Do I always have to wear a uniform?
A. No. We have several days through out the year that are designated for casual wear (jeans) and dress days for liturgy (all school mass days).

Q. Is it hard to make new friends?
A. Regina invites incoming frosh to an array of events prior to their first year: Dessert Night, Pizza Party/Scavenger Hunt and the Family Picnic in the fall. We also encourage any incoming student to participate in one of our many sports camps and workshops offered in the summer.

Q. Will I get a chance to socialize with BOYS??
A. We have many social events through out the year that definitely include BOYS. We have socials, Fall Fling, Winter Dance, and Prom. Our events calendar includes Variety Show, Athletic events, concerts, plays and dance performances.

Q. Do I have input in my class scheduling?
A. When you have decided to come to Regina and have finished the placement exam we have an interview night. You meet with one of our many counselors and academic advisors and go over suggested class schedules.

Q. Do they have "variables" in class levels?
A. Regina offers 15 Advanced Placement courses in coordination with the National College Board Advanced Placement Program. Regina's AP courses are listed in our curriculum guide for the coming year and range from English, Foreign Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History and Political Science.

Q. What is on Regina's entrance exam?
A. Regina uses the Terra Nova Test at the 9th grade level. Applicants are tested in the following subjects: reading, language arts and mathematics (a calculator may be used in certain areas of the exam).

Q. When will I be notified about acceptance?
A. All letters of acceptance are mailed on February 15, 2006.

Q. How does a student transfer to Regina?
A. If a student wishes to transfer into Regina Dominican mid-year or over the summer the following steps need to be taken:
