CURRICULUM GUIDE

Regina Dominican is a college preparatory school dedicated to Catholic education of young women. Guided by the Adrian Dominican tradition of scholarship in the pursuit of truth and justice, Regina offers a rich curriculum with students earning a minimum of 24 credits. Because Regina provides personal attention in a single gender environment, learning is experienced as a cooperative enterprise.

A Regina Dominican education integrates the humanities and sciences, encouraging students to see relationships among various academic disciplines. Through course work and extra curricular activities there are many opportunities for Regina students to assume leadership roles at school and throughout life.

In general, first year students and sophomores enroll in seven courses each semester; junior and senior students enroll in at least six courses each semester. Regina offers approximately 119 courses in a wide range of subject areas covering a required college preparatory curriculum accredited by the North Central Association. Fifteen Advanced Placement courses are offered in the following subjects: English Language and Literature, French IV & V, Latin IV & V, Spanish IV & V, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, U. S. History, European History, and Political Science. Proficiency testing in Math, Foreign Language and English allows for an accelerated course of study.

A Regina education gives a young woman every opportunity to Learn, Grow, Lead, and Succeed.
